Say 7 of my bourbon advent calendar Nose: Tons of caramel, and sweet oak that lead to a soft floral perfume. Palate: The palate is almost exactly like the nose, caramel, oak, and a soft floral sweetness. This is a classic profile of a Kentucky bourbon. It should be a must have for anyone who has a huge collection, or even someone who keeps a few bottles around, it will always be a great pour of whiskey22.99 USD per Bottle

Knob Creek 9 Year Single Barrel Reserve
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 6, 2019 (edited December 12, 2019)Day 6 of my bourbon advent calendar Nose: Starts with a pleasant oak, and vanilla, and just a slight astringent ethanol smell, but it's not overwhelming. Palate: Coming in at 120 proof it does drink like it, but with a dash of water a sweet vanilla and cinnamon sugar. Yet another high proof bourbon, and it's fantastic. It is a very plain bourbon in comparison to some store picks, but it will suffice till my local liquor store gets a barrel. -
Michter's US*1 Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 5, 2019 (edited December 15, 2019)Day 5 of my bourbon advent calendar Nose: A subtle cinnamon, oak soice followed by a stonger vanilla cream Pallet: That cream really starts to pull through as well as the vanilla. And the finish is a sweet creamed corn and oak spice. Finding this much cream in a everyday bourbon is hard to come by. It's safe to say that this should be a staple to every whiskey connoisseurs collection -
Heaven Hill Bottled In Bond 7 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 4, 2019 (edited December 16, 2019)Day 4 of my bourbon advent calendar Nose: It has a much sweeter nose than its discontinued counterpart. A lot more brown sugar, and toasted peanuts, with minimal oak. Very pleasant smell. Plate: This bourbon doesn't really surprise me with the taste. It's exactly what i thought it was going to be, and it's just a classic bourbon, with notes of vanilla, oak, and a slight nuttyness Considering the price I paid for this bottle I could drink this everyday, but I think I got lucky, because when I went back it was $12 higher than when I bought it. But it's still a decent pour for $45.30.99 USD per Bottle -
Boondocks 8 Year Port Finished Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 3, 2019 (edited February 18, 2020)Day 3 of my bourbon advent calendar, and I'm excited for this one. Nose: Creamy banana, molasses, and fresh baked vanilla cupcakes. Palate: Oak up front, and then lead into an explosion of vanilla, butterscotch, and chocolate covered cherries. The nose of the bourbon is heavenly, and safe to say that i went there while nosing this one. Angel's Envy had nothing on this bourbon. It's such a full flavored, and sweeter whiskey that you can pour anyone at the end of the night for a night cap and i think they will love it!54.99 USD per Bottle -
Day 2 of my bourbon advent calendar Nose: Starts with sweety baking spices like cinnamon, or nutmeg, and a subtle banana note buried behind some oak. Not a whole lot of ethanol for something a little higher on proof Plate: It starts quite hot and stays hot, but also has slight creamy texture, and the finish is decent. This is a great affordable option for someone looking into higher proof bourbons. However, this is not my favorite Old Forster expression. I personally love all single barrels from them, but it's still a good go-to for when I'm craving something high proof because it's readily available for me.

Day 1 of my bourbon advent calendar Nose: A warming invitation of oak sweetness, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a subtle banana note. Palate: Starts very basic with just oak, and a little bit of vanilla, but then a favor bomb goes off on the finish that is chocolatey, and a strong nor of a sweet wheat bread... Hence its name😬 By far one of my favorite whiskeys that i own, and im gonna be sad when i can't find it anymore, but with that being said this is one to stock up on when you come across it. I gave this to someone on ice who doesn't like whiskey at all, and it change their opinion about whiskey.30.0 USD per Bottle

Tried at a bar in a rocks glass Nose: Oak spice, and that sweet port Palate: A toasty rye bread, a subtle dry oak, followed by a lengthy molasses and black tea finish. Final impression: i have never really been of basil hayden, but the rye has me questioning my taste of this Jim Beam small batch line. I would recommend this to a rye fan that is looking for something a little differentBar Louie - Baybrook Mall

Absolutely no ethanol smell when i buried my nose into my glencairn. Palate: Graham crakers, toffee, dark chocolate, and a little bit of coffee. It also leaves a honey toasty sweetness on finish Final impression: I really wish i had a place around me that could find a barrel this amazing from Four Roses. The finish is everlasting, and I'm all about the finish. Buy all of this that you can. Im trying to trade my buddy for the rest of his😬 -
Got this as a sample from a friend. Nose: Cinnamon, with a touch of marshmallow, and astringent oak. Palate: Explosion of oak and vanilla extract, salty on my cheeks, and a long tongue tingling finish. Final impression: This particular bottle was 113.3 prf, and really didn't live up to the hype that I've heard it to be. It definitely has potential and I would buy it in the future, but hopefully end up with a better barrel.
