Tastes

Nose. Sweet pineapple up front then peat smoke and moss wrap your nose like seaweed and sea salt to prepare you for the excitement later. Taste. At first Sweet orange, pineapple and vanilla coconut followed by a smoky briny tobacco pipe and cinnamon with the salty sea blanketing it all. Finish with a spike of lemon pepper and a tingling smokiness with the sweet flavors clinging to the tongue long after swallowing. Fantastic whiskey to satisfy any lover of Islay scotch and peat. I’m still new to the whiskey world and even the peat for for that matter, but the Talisker 10 has opened my eyes to Islay peat.

Cream up front with a nice vanilla caramel rich body. Reminding me of salted caramel ice cream. Finishing with a warm pepper left in the mouth.

A little new to smoky whiskey. However, I always get a nose of peat, light fruit and the smell of the sea. The taste is light chocolate with fruits then the wonderful campfire taste on the back with a salty finish.

Nice warm hit of spice with the 45%abv. Then comes the rich dark cherry and fruit notes. Finally it ends with a hint of a chocolate and a leather, tingly mouth feel that leaves the pallet active and alive.
