If you are new to peated and Smokey Islay whisky Rock Ed II can take some getting use to. But is you are already familiar with the Islay styles this edition can be misleading because the exciting packaging does not entirely live up to its expectations. Sure it is peaty and an interesting option to the more established Islay staple but value for money I would choose an Ardbeg 10YO over this edition. Then again bottle does make it stand out. Pairing with some strong mineral oysters like a Sydney rock was magical though!105.0 AUD per BottleChatswood Interchange

Taste of ..... caramel and butter scotch. Slight hints of vanilla. Smell of ..... floral and fruits Finish is ..... short but leaves behind toffee notes Adding a little water....doesn't seem to unlock anything extra for me. But it does seem a bit more approachable and easy to drink because of the reduced alcoholWestmead Private Hospital
