My first love. Oak, Caramel and some kind of fruit or citrus: My favorite flavors in a bourbon. This has an excellent balance of all of them. If you want to introduce someone into the world of bourbon, give them this. Don’t be that guy who brings a bottle of wine to the dinner party. Bring them Four Roses Small Batch. The bottle looks elegant.

The glass smells innocent enough, then hits with a blast of spice and flavor all at once (maybe honey, brown sugar and a hint of oak?). I have a hard time discerning every flavor that’s packed into this punch. The finish was a bit hot (not necessarily a bad thing when it’s flavorful and not thin). Drink this one when you’re sober enough to appreciate the flavor profile. Call me a newbie but I actually prefer the Four Roses small batch. Bottle info: (warehouse No. LW Barrel #28-3F)

Spicy with a little vanilla and toasted oak. I love the finish on this. A tad Smokey. Tastes like 100 proof. Let your giant ass ice cube cool it down a bit before SIPPING.
