1792 Bottled in Bond Bourbon

Assessed in a Glencairn spirits nosing glass. Aroma - Neat - Not a lot going on with this. Picking up some honey and perhaps a touch of red apple. Adding a splash of water . . . No discernible change. Taste - Neat - Clean, mild oak and some honey. Adding a splash of water . . . Again, no discernible change. Final thoughts - Not the most impressive thing you’ll drink, but it’s solid enough. I was hoping that the bottled in bond variant would be very different from the standard expressions, but I’m find it to be very similar. Still holding out to find a full proof to try.

Nose: honey and spice. Tiny bit of fruit at the end. Palate: a lot more fruit than I expected! Nice and oily as well. Somehow thin but coats the mouth nicely. Equal to the single barrel I think. Finish: spice and vanilla lingers for quite a while. Honestly very pleasant Overall: I like it a lot more than I thought I would! Good price, good flavor for 100 proof. Not much bite. Also, for being a super light colored bourbon it’s got a lot more flavor than you’d think

The nose greets you with orange peel and vanilla. Medium-thin mouth feel with minimal burn. Very smooth. The finish is really nice. More vanilla and a hint a sweet banana. This is a solid bib. Excellent price point.

A real good open whiskey. Just a little bitter on the end
