1792 Single Barrel Bourbon

Smells lightly of apple or pear, with hints of black pepper, and a bourbon sweetness. Tastes vaguely fruity, with a black peppery char bite at the finish. Not overly complex or sweet, but an interesting taste.

The nose is vanilla, cherries and apricot. The palate is brown sugar, cherries with some oak. It finishes out nicely with a little bite, but fades fairly quickly. Not bad at all, but not overly complex either.

Good with a smoky flavor and a hot finish.

I can’t get ahold of the all holy 1792 full proof, so I went for this instead. It’s nice. I like the butterscotch or caramel notes. It’s very nice all the way to the back of the throat.

Sweet nose, spice shows up on the palate but there’s not much on the finish. 6.7/10
