Nose is caramel, apple, vanilla, cinnamon, a little ethanol, a little oak
Taste is light brown sugar sweet, vanilla, cherry, pears, oak, tangy, a little smoke, bark cinnamon, some rye baking spices, black pepper, honey, and tea The finish has a drying tartness, with vanilla, oak, baking spice and pepper with vanilla and lots of saccharine holding out much longer than other notes
Overall it's sweeter and smoother than the small batch..The rough edges seem sanded down a bit.. It is delicious, maybe a little more mature, but it loses that 'Barton Bite' ..for better or worse. A 50% premium over the small batch places it right in the middle of some tough competition
