Holy cinnamon Batman! Like this a lot better this second time having it. I think because I was more prepared for it and am improving in my knowledge of what a heavy rye mashbill will taste like. It’s sweet thin and spicy. Decent heat at the finish is nice.

N: cherry, sweet
P: sweet, light, cherry,rye
F: very smooth, a little spice, but no burn, short warm finish.
Great everyday drinker. Not too spicy just right for the price.
I don’t hate it, but it is NOT as smooth compared to other bourbons like Evan Williams that are much cheaper. Too much noticeable alcohol burn in the nose and in the finish (i can feel this burn down my throat/chest). Taste is good, very rye and baking spices forward, cherry; I could see this being a good base for a holiday cocktail. I am not a rye whiskey fan but I can see rye fans liking this a lot more.
