    Aquavit (aka akvavit) is a predominantly caraway and/or dill flavored spirit made using a neutral spirit base distilled from potatoes or grain. Other botanicals can be used and it can be aged, but neither are required. Traditionally made in Scandinavia, but can be produced anywhere.

Tasting Notes

"The caraway is very present on the nose, yet without completely dominating. Soft notes of mint leaves and some gentian root and orange as well. The palate has a creamy texture and a whiff of star anise and dill. Lots of herbal notes during the finish. Nice, subtle and intriguing spirit."
