Aberfeldy 18 Year
Single Malt
Aberfeldy // Highlands, Scotland
Released as a global travel retail exclusive, is this eighteen-year-old bottling from the Aberfeldy Distillery in the Scottish Highlands. The distillery was built by the Dewar family in 1898 just before the pop of the whisky bubble in the early 1900s (and just before several members of the family were jailed for whisky fraud).
The site was chosen for its proximity to the birthplace of John Dewar, the patriarch of the whisky clan, who used to earn a living as a child carrying peat from the nearby bog to fuel the fires of the town. This limited release single malt has been bottled at 40% ABV.
