Abraham Bowman Sequential Series 2nd Use Barrels
Bourbon
A. Smith Bowman // Virginia, USA
This extremely limited bourbon release was aged for 9 years in new, charred white oak barrels. It was then transferred into barrels which held bourbon, but the batch was split into two; half was barreled at 125 proof while the other half was barreled at 115 proof.
The bourbon finished in these barrels for an additional 3 years and 5 months before its final proof reduced to 100 at time of bottling. The whiskey will be sold primarily in Virginia with limited release thereafter.

Tasting Notes
"This is a complex, multi-layered bourbon. Its full-bodied sweetness makes it easy to sip despite its relatively higher proof, opening up with flavors of caramel, vanilla, and cherry wood, and a lingering finish that leaves one wanting another sip. With this release, Abraham Bowman makes a strong case for finishing older bourbons in second use barrels."
