This extremely limited bourbon release was aged for 9 years in new, charred white oak barrels. It was then transferred into barrels which held bourbon, but the batch was split into two; half was barreled at 125 proof while the other half was barreled at 115 proof. The bourbon finished in these barrels for an additional 3 years and 5 months before its final proof reduced to 100 at time of bottling. The whiskey will be sold primarily in Virginia with limited release thereafter. Sold in 375ml sized bottles.

Tasting Notes

"This is a complex, multi-layered bourbon. Its full-bodied sweetness makes it easy to sip despite its relatively higher proof, opening up with flavors of caramel, vanilla, and cherry wood, and a lingering finish that leaves one wanting another sip. With this release, Abraham Bowman makes a strong case for finishing older bourbons in second use barrels."
