Amarula Cream Liqueur is made with the fruit of African Marula trees which are a favorite treat for elephants. The fruit is de-stoned, crushed, and fermented to make a wine. This wine is then distilled and the Marula brandy is aged for two years in French oak. The brandy is blended with cream and sugar.
Dairy/Egg LiqueursDairy liqueurs are often made with real milk or cream, but there are “dairy free” options made from almonds, rice, or other vegan options. Whiskey or rum are often used in the base. Egg liqueurs tend to use brandy and sugar in its creation.
