Ampersand Malus
One of three expressions in the Ampersand collection from Foley Family Wines & Spirits, crafted by Master Distiller Chip Tate, founder of Balcones Distilling. Malus is a blend of 51% eight year old American rye whiskey and 49% eight year old Calvados, a French apple brandy from Normandy made from no less than 40 varieties of apples and pears and aged in French oak. The name references the Latin word for the genus of apple trees.
Bottled non-chill filtered at 92 proof. Limited to 6,000 bottles, available beginning November 2025. (SRP $59).
