Angel's Envy Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels

The port influence is subtle to me and this is very much a bourbon. For me unfortunately that tends to be a bad thing, found it a little too spicy and astringent for my liking but again, just not a big bourbon fan. Found the rye signifcantly better and more palatable, the sweetness from the rum cask really mellowing out the intense bourbon flavors.

Oaky smooth semi sweet finish

I really appreciate the sweet finish. I am a newer bourbon fan. But this one stands out becuae of the fruity sweet back end.

Fruity and sweet taste make this an easy to drink pick! Better every time i try it.
