Apologue Aronia Berry Liqueur is made by a Chicago-based company which features regional ingredients from independent farmers. Aside from aronia berries, ingredients include bitter orange peel, cinnamon, lavender flower, lemon peel, orange peel, orris root, raspberry, rose hip, sweet ashlock prune, and tart cherry. It is sweetened with organic sugarcane.

"Bright ruby in color, this liqueur has a rich and vibrant aroma, akin to raspberry fruit leather. On the palate, it's equally vibrant, with a prominent tart and sweet aronia and cherry notes leading the way. Also present are hints of cinnamon, orange and a touch of florality. This would be a fantastic summer sip topped with a bit of soda and garnished with lemon. "
