Pity, banana and orange on the nose. By the time you can feel intensive vanilla. Obviously pity on the palate with sea salt , paper and hints of lemon pie and leather with paper in the finish.
Lovely nose of campfire smoke, brine, a little beef jerky, and a touch of antiseptic. Palate is more of the same but with some fruity freshness (think pears and lemons) and cigarette ash. A challenging single malt for me that makes me want to continue on to the next sip.
Heavy peat impact (55 ppm) brings campfire to the table, alongside the classic Islay medicinal note. But if one can weather the storm of aggressive smoke and brine, they will find a salted caramel and dried fruit filled body. A whisky not for the faint of heart!
