An Oa (pronounced an oh) is a peated Islay single malt comprised of whiskies that were aged in several types of casks of including Pedro Ximenez, virgin oak, and ex-bourbon. These whiskies were then married together in a large French oak vat in Ardbeg's Gathering Room. T

Slightly Sweet fragrance, pearish and lightness to it, not very peppery, you get a heavy oaky soot peat, slight dryness, 2.75

THICK PUNGENT BITTER SMOKE, DARK BITTER CHOCOLATE, NO SWEETNESS IN THE TASTE, CHARCOAL, MEDICINAL, THERE IS NO SWEETNESS IN THIS AND IT IS QUITE A HARSH TASTING.. PROBABLY GOES WELL WITH A SWEET DISH LIKE A DESSERT BUT I SEE IT AS NOT A GOOD DRINK FOR A STANDALONE 1.5/OTHERWISE WITH DESSERT PAIRING POSSIBLY A 3

Delicate nosing compared to the 10YO - a little uncharacteristic-less nosing, creamy, lightly roasted 1.5
Bitterness hits at the front and you start to get a slow creeping sweetness that spreads out, nutty, maltiness, dark chocolate 1.75

Nosing: fiery burn despite the Low ABV
Flavour: oakiness, creamy malt that is rich in fats and milds the rest of the taste profile
Finish: light peat and Long burn through the back of your throat
