Smokiverse is the limited edition release for Ardbeg Day held annually on the last Saturday of Islay's Festival of Music & Malt. This 2025 release is the result of an experiment involving the mashing process. Ardbeg reduced the amount of water in the mash tun which increased the density of the wort. This "high-gravity mash" resulted in a fruitier, more tropical expression, according to the brand.
Aged in bourbon casks, it's bottled at 48.3% ABV. Available in the US starting May 15, 2025. (SRP $125).
