Reviewed February 26, 2023This is an exceptional Scotch for the price; just an amazing value. The nose is sweet, reminiscent of wine or grapes, with a faint bit of honey and the slightest hint of peat. The palate is more honey and fruit with spice and a bit of salt. It has a medium finish, but the heat stays with you a bit longer. 46.8% ABV55.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed August 26, 2022Roasty, berries on the nose. Like sipping a big bold merlot by a wood fire in the fall, which I of course have never done. Maybe a little peach as well. Nutty, chocolatey palate. The berries fade back and earthy malt comes forward. It finishes good and long. Great little scotch. -

Reviewed February 15, 2022This is the weirdest combination. It has melon and tire, pear slight vanilla in the oil I think is hiding a very dry oak barely. -

Reviewed January 19, 2022Nose is that of fields of hay with a little peat. The initial taste has some toffee and apple and pear. Then black pepper quickly jumps in to balance it out. There is a little bit of peat in the finish. Very smooth. -

Reviewed January 17, 2022 (edited February 26, 2023)To me, Ardnamurchan has become synonymous with good quality and reasonable pricing. Yes, it’s a NAS, but the quality is there, not to mention their commitment to making whiskey using sustainable energy. And they have blockchain technology ! How cool is that? A $10,000 Macallan doesn’t have it ( which it should…those are the most counterfeited), but a $60 Ardnamurchan can afford it? So, this was a pour sent by @jonwilkinson7309. It’s a combination of 50% peated, 50% unpeated; in 65% /35% ex-bourbon / Sherry cask. Nose is citrus and minerals. A bit of wet stone. Light peat comes through on the taste, with pear , grapefruit and a bit of smoke. Really well made—and considering the price, it’s a no-brainer to keep around. Thanks Jon for the pour! -
