Arran Lochranza Reserve
Single Malt
Arran // Islands, Scotland
Named for the village in which the Arran Distillery operates, the Lochranza Reserve is the replacement for the Original in the core range. Opened in 1995, this independently-owned distillery is one of the younger ones in Scotland, operating on the Isle of Arran which is nestled between the Kintyre Peninsula and the Scottish Lowlands.
This bottling is NAS and matured primarily in ex-bourbon casks, followed by first-fill sherry hogsheads, and refill sherry casks, before being married together. As with all Arran releases, the whisky is non-chill filtered and contains no added color.
