Auchentoshan 12 Year

On the nose, moist leaves, almost as if they were fermented in a jar. Awfully woody as well, lacquered wood, if that makes sense. On the palette, strong and woody to the core. Very harsh but pleasantly sweet at the end. The sweetness reminds me of maple syrup. The finish seems long and rather warm.
