Auchentoshan 12 Year

On the nose is a little dim, but you get Sweet aromas like honey, Plum, caramel and Lemon Very Pleasant flavor, woody, nutty flavor. Caramel is also present. Finish is medium, pleasant. I love sweet whiskies, and this is a great one. I really enjoyed this dram, very recommended

Cool aid, jello like smell. Aspartame. Sweet nose, fruity taste. Not much spice. Nice mouthfeel.

Auchentoshan 12 is one of those bottles that will forever be on my bar. It's inoffensive to new whisky drinkers and there's never a bad time to enjoy it as a veteran. It is just too easy to sip on any occasion (unless you're hoping for puch-in-the-face peat).  The nose of this scotch is herbal with orange and syrup. Aged in bourbon and sherry barrels, this mild dram offers a slight citrusy and toffee flavour cut by oak and whisper of smoke for balance. Auchentoshan 12 has a slightly sour yet dry finish that doesn't overstay its welcome.  8.25/10
