Auchroisk 20 Year
Single Malt
Auchroisk // Highlands, Scotland
This was released in 2010 as a special and limited release; only 6000 bottles were produced.
Auchroisk [Ar-thrusk] was originally built to be a blending whisky for the brand J & B and any official bottles had been sold under the Singleton brand name until 2001, presumably to avoid pronunciation problems.

Tasting Notes
"The nose is very much influenced by the bourbon cask and has a very sweet and cereal filled aroma. As you taste, you'll get the dried fruit factor from the sherry in the form of apricot. There is a trace of smoke in the dram as well. Water can be added if desired, but the sweetness in the whisky helps to keep the flames from the proof at bay quite well without it. "
