Bache Gabrielsen XO Natur & Eleganse
Cognac
Bache-Gabrielsen // Cognac, France
The “Natur & Eleganse” line is meant to be a bit of a modern update to the Bache-Gabrielsen house which dates its founding at 1905.
The brandies show a bit more of a masculine take on the category and are not afraid of more intense wood flavors than may be typical with cognac.

Tasting Notes
"The dark mahogany color of this brandy is immediately pleasing, and similarly brown-nutty flavors of rancio are present on the deep and luxurious nose. Happily, the cognac’s fruit has not been completely dried out, but rather shows itself as orange-chocolate candy and roasted figs. The palate is rich and warming with more cocoa and creme brûlées and then moves to a long finish of walnuts and cinnamon stick. The complete impression is a delicious meditative spirit for fans of bold wood tones."
