Balcones Baby Blue

I get almost a kettle corn aroma in the nose. Fabulously light sweet and fruity on the palate. Considering the price point the most interesting offering by this distillery and one the best corn whiskeys I have tasted.

I didn’t expect this to be so good! Vanilla, brown sugar, caramel, and something approximating a spiced peach jam run through both the nose and the palate. Will need to find a bottle ASAP…

Very smooth. On the rocks this pour changes throughout the drink. Very nice sunday afternoon drink. Nothing beats a texas whiskey

The alcohol hits up front but instantly gives way to a beautiful cherry and vanilla creme. The heat gives way over time, leaving a lingering velvety sweetness. The finish leaves a hint of what strikes me as pepper. Not black pepper; more like jalapeño. Several Balcones have hit me the same way, so mauve is a Texas thing, i dunno. But overall, it's just very nice!
