Nose: Not too sharp. Oak for sure. Some brown sugar under that.
Taste: Sweet upfront with an almost sweet coffee note that quickly gives way to barrel spice and a baking note.
Finish: Sharper but still sweet. Hints of coffee and cherry.
Woodshop oil on the nose. Cinnamon spice, a little sweet, a little molasses. Deep, spicy finish. Not at all a classic bourbon, but excellent. Has more of what makes the Brimstone (a personal favorite) so great than I expected.
Wood and brown sugar nose maybe a touch of coconut. Big cherry flavor and finish almost cough syrupy. A drop of water opens up butterscotch in the nose and brings out more barrel in the flavor and tones the syrupy note down a bit. Ice tones the syrup down even more but keeps the cherry note. Put this in an old fashioned and all I tasted was strong barrel. Not a mixer.
