It is made from 100% rye including raw elbon grain from north and northwest Texas as well as crystal, chocolate, and roasted rye varieties.
Bottled at 62.3% ABV, and aged for a minimum of 30 months.

"Apples and orchard fruits lead on the nose, with well-worn suede, bitter coffee, and spice. A big palate is pleasantly smooth for the proof, with tannic dry oak, baking chocolate, and a hefty portion of rye spice. A full finish delivers a warm embrace, with baking spices, oak, and vanilla backed by notes of black pepper and spearmint. Add water to bring out more rich, vanilla sweetness alongside still powerful rye spice."
