Balvenie DoubleWood 17 Year

This is a winter in a cabin type of scotch. Warm smoky and sweet on both the nose and palate. All the same flavors of the 12 to me just turned up a notch.

O’Hare .... an excellent scotch, little peat flavor.

Toffee aroma on the nose. Spicy and then I get a Very citrus taste. Especially comes out after adding water. Delicious scotch

Nose is toffee. On the palate it’s spicy and sweet with a hint of smoke, then a bitter taste gives way to wood with a subtly sweet astringent finish.
