Barrell Vantage

The best of Barrell’s main line offerings. Maple and smoke with a smooth oak char. Smooth, nutty and not too sweet. This dram is just right in a lot of ways.

Very balanced. A little heat, a little sweet, a little spice, a little smoke. I was a big fan.

sweet oak, caramel, cinnamon, corn, apples.

I currently have Vantage, Seagrass, Dovetail, and Bourbon Batch 35. Vantage is the lowest proof but is the least round and has spicier and sharper edges. I prefer this one the least of the four aforementioned (yes, Dovetail is more enjoyable and easier drinking despite the higher proof). Vantage is not “bad” but because of the others, I have relegated Vantage for use in spirit-forward cocktails. Really enjoy neat slow sipping the others.

reminds me of a double oak but a bit high price for that similar oak vanilla finish
