Basil Hayden Dark Rye

Very sweet likely due to the port. Lots of caramel and molases on the nose and aftertaste as well as some dried fruit. Nice to sip straight and a little too sweet for manhattans in my opinion but a good overall whiskey.

Very drinkable, you get a bite of rye along with sweet red fruits. As others have said, it's not a true whiskey because of the infusion of red wine. Something different for your collection.
