Basil Hayden 10 Year Bourbon

Nose: rye, oak, mango, black pepper, apple and charcoal. Woody on the palate; with flavors of greenery, vanilla, wood and tropical fruit. Unnecessarily thin and weak. Boring.

Burns the tongue, warms the belly. Heavier handed than the regular Basil Hayden, a bit more visceral.

Vanilla, heavier oak, high rye spice with some clove? Also a touch of cough syrup?

Neat. Nose is fruity and vanilla. Taste is sweet and fruity with a spicy oak finish. Pretty thin. I get notes of leather, cherry / dark fruit also. It’s better than I expected but very light due to low proof.
