Beefeater London Dry Gin (40%)

Its legendary and consistent but I cant help but feel indifferent. Its a tad watery and doesnt jump out in cocktails the way I would prefer. Still this is an old go-to for many and still a classic standby in the gin world. Disappointing that they lowered the abv going forward in this market. All that means is more water and less booze in each bottle. You would think after almost 200 years in the gin making world you would not be so...you know...lame. You would think that you would not be so....I dont know...miserly. If you are still cutting corners after cornering the market for over a century then you are either not doing it right or have lost touch.

Fourth tasting of the evening. 5/5 bottle. Disgustingly bitter, alcoholic and perfumery, no balance of taste. With Schweppes cocktail. Strong and pleasant astringency, rude and aggressive.
