Beefeater London Garden
London Dry Gin
Beefeater // England
Released in April 2014, this expression from Beefeater is inspired by the history between the original Beefeater distillery and the nearby Chelsea Physic Garden. Originally opened in 1673 as an apothecary garden where medicinal herbs were grown and studied, the garden was frequently visited by Beefeater's founder, James Burroughs.
It was in this garden that Burroughs was likely inspired to begin making his gin. Using 11 botanicals - juniper, thyme, lemon verbena, lemon peel, almond, seville orange peel, coriander seed, licorice root, orris root, angelica root and angelica seed - this gin is available exclusively at the Beefeater Visitor Center in London.
