Reviewed April 3, 2024 (edited April 17, 2024)Aroma - man.. not a lot to report here. Caramel pop corn, buttered rye bread, red apples… Very minimal on the nose. To be honest, I was expecting more depth with than addition year… Taste - caramel, red apples, light oak. Very light on the palate. Overall - man.. I have came back to this bottle three separate times to create a thorough review… It is a very good beginners bourbon. Very delicate on the palate.. doesn’t offer up very strong or overpowering flavors… . There is no finish.. there’s no viscosity.. “smooth” …No Kentucky hug… Blinded this against Barrel Foundation.. and Foundation blew this away (and was $10-$15 cheaper) Blinded this against Bardstown BiB… and Bardstown as clearly better. This is a really good Bottled-in-Bond bottle but I cannot justify the price when I don’t think it’s really that much better than other 100 proof whiskeys or even other BiB offering that are out there. EHT would absolutely annihilate this in blind and cost your around the same (if not less if you have the right connections).. I think Jack Bonded and even OF BiB could even be on par with it as far as quality goes and still be cheaper.. For the Price = 1.00 (so many more flavorful bottles out there that I would rather purchase in the $50-$70) For the Bottled in Bond Experience = 4.5 (yeah this is really good) For the Proof - 3.50 (meh.. its okay.. I think WT101 could blind against this quite well and save you $40)
