Following an absence on the market since 2016, Benriach has returned a 16 year-old single malt to its portfolio in a new formulation. The Sixteen is a triple-cask matured whisky aging in ex-bourbon, sherry casks, and virgin oak.
Bottled at 86 proof, it's available globally in select markets as of November 2022 with the US launch following in February 2023. (UK SRP £72/US SRP $115).

Tasting Notes
"The aroma shows bright honey notes, toasted cereal, milk chocolate, and fresh fruit salad (melons, pear, oranges). The whisky is moderately full and a little slick on the palate. This is a classic Speyside single malt with a honeyed, malty flavor and more of those fresh fruity notes found on the nose. The finish is lengthy and the barrel spices play nicely with the sweet malty flavors. The trio of casks used here are put to good use providing a solid balance of flavors. Definitely one to seek out, especially at this price point."
