Nose: Warm and sweet with buttered granary toast, mixed spices and a distinct morello cherry character. Cooked fruit and a defined bakery note.
Palate: Quite full and sweet. Freshly baked sweet buns, a stewed fruits. There are hints of oak but very little.
Finish: Long and slightly dry with toasty spices.
Overall: It's a decent whiskey defenetly not makers 46 as a wheated whiskey go but decent enough to buy again when the mood strikes but not a bottle that you go search for around the city.
7 on 10 for me personally.
So I really like this whiskey! It’s like cinnamon toast. You can toast the toasted bread, sugar, and cinnamon. Nice finish. Nothing great but still a little there. I really like it.
This drinks really easy. This is not a wheated bourbon. Very different animal. Light honey notes. It’s good for what it is. Does not have the depth of a bourbon.
Cinnamon, vanilla, and dark fruit on the nose. Mild spice throughout, char and vanilla upfront followed by a fast finish of burnt sugars. The mouth coat holds with the oak char and vanilla present at the end. Not overly complex but pleasant.
Just a fyi, the bottle need air for a while otherwise you will get tons of ethanol throughout.
