Made at the Blackdown Distillery in Sussex, this gin is the first to be made in Sussex. Released in 2012, the gin has a 100% British wheat neutral spirit base. Some of the botanicals used are licorice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and coriander. After distillation, Silver Birch sap is added from a source within 40 acres of the distillery itself. It is bottled at 37.5% ABV. This is not currently available in the U.S.

Tasting Notes

"Lemon, pine-y juniper, and coriander are the most prominent on the nose and palate with licorice joining in the mix on the mid-palate and finish. The cinnamon is last to make an appearance, but when it does it adds a hot pepper note to the gin. There's a richness to the gin and is only slightly sweet. It's a perfectly fine gin for a Gin & Tonic."
