Blanton's Gold Edition

Hard to know if this is better than the standard Blanton’s without a comparison.

This is pure 103 proof magic! The nose starts with vanilla, sugar cookies and molasses. As the tastes develop the smell of brown sugar and nutmeg come to the surface. The taste is even better starting with cinnamon, maple cookies, a spicy honey that reminds me of fireweed honey, and butter. Just butter. The finish is slow and tastes like a green caramel apple with a touch of bitter notes.

Blanton’s Single Barrel on steroids. Smooth, vanilla, rye spice. So good. I could drink the bottle in one sitting... probably shouldn’t...

Very smooth front, sweet wheat with a little spice and kick at the end.

So awesomely smooth and Blanton’s perfection. My favorite of the varieties I’ve had.
