Boann Single Pot Still Madeira Cask
Single Pot Still
Boann // Ireland
Family-owned Boann Distillery located in Co. Meath, Ireland released a trio of single pot still whiskeys in mid-2024. Each one was made with a mixed mash bill of Irish grown grains: malted barley, unmalted barley, oats, and rye.
This release was initially matured in charred ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in a variety of Madeira casks from Justino's Madeira Wines. These Madeira casks were made from French oak and held cognac previously. Bottled at 47% ABV, availability in the US begins January 2025.
