Bols Genever Barrel-Aged

So different! Juniper and vanilla and layers of delicate oak

This is my first genever and I got it for a song! It is a pale yellow. The spirit is light compared to the Scotch whiskies I'm used to. On the nose, you immediately get the typical gin-juniper. But a second sip reveals a fresh honey and a slight ginger heat. The finish is a pleasant oak and vanilla. If I were to compare it to the gins I've tried, it is the best I've had!
