Bombay Sapphire Laverstoke Mill
London Dry Gin
Bombay Sapphire // England
This is a 2014 limited bottling to celebrate the opening of the new distillery and showroom in Laverstroke, Hampshire in southern England. The site was a former mill that has been sustainably restored and converted to a distillery and greenhouse. The greenhouse features two distinct zones that simulate the different climates from which the botanicals originate.
The gin is vapor-infused with the same ten botanicals in all of Bombay Sapphire's gins: juniper, lemon, grains of paradise, coriander, cubeb berries, orris root, almonds, cassia bark, licorice, and angelica. The bottle was co-designed by Webb deVlam, and the illustrations on the bottle were done by award-winning British illustrator Si Scott. The spirit comes in a light blue decanter, and it is bottled at 49% ABV.

Tasting Notes
"This bottling is the same recipe as their standard Bombay Sapphire, but it is sold at a higher proof of 49% ABV. This makes a slight difference on the taste. The brighter notes sing higher here with the citrus and coriander along with the floral notes showing brighter as well. The juniper is present and accounted for and the finish is dry and crisp. At this proof, we'd order a Martini up with a twist."
