Nose: cinnamon, fresh cut wet oak, light vanilla
Taste: Surprisingly low alcohol taste for a high proof. Spicy boiled peanuts, hot chicken in peanut oil, a little sweetness of brown sugar mor sweet potato fries.
Finish: Spicy aftertaste leading into rich oak, as it slowly turns into a medium-low Kentucky hug down the throat. Overall a lot like 2020-01 but less peanut and more spice.
If I were tasting this blind, I could tell you it’s some release of Booker’s just from the nose. Vanilla, cinnamon, peanuts, and dried fruit. The palate was spicy but not the standard baking spices kind of spicy. Like coating peanuts in chili powder.
