Booker's Bourbon Batch 2019-03 "Country Ham"

Nose is somewhat flat, initial sip was disappointing but subsequent sips brought out the complexity. Nice balanced finish that lasts. Pick up peanuts and oak in the taste.

Chapter 3 is similar and brings just a tad more to the table in taste, for the price this is the best Bookers on the market. When you find it, buy it.

Drinking this in direct comparison to 2018-04 and 2020-01. This presents as the smoothest and least complex of the three: slightly thinner, sweet and bright, and I'm getting a spearmint note that I've never gotten before. Still very nice. It actually drinks faster than the others.

This batch is a bit different then the other batches i have tasted in the past. The best way I can describe it is that it is softer and doesn't have as much in your face high proof burn to it. For the abv, it doesn't seem like you are sipping a 124 proof bourbon.

This is good, really good. It is banana’s Foster with peanuts on the nose. On the palate it is rich, thick, sweet, with a little peanut, dark chocolate, and oak. A long long finish. This is better than any Bookers I have ever. Buy it if you can find it.
