Jack Daniel's 14 Year Tennessee Whiskey (Batch 2)
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee , USA
Reviewed May 23, 2026 (edited May 27, 2026)Nose: baked banana bread, vanilla, leather Palate: prominent oak, vanilla cream Finish: medium finish and a bit astringent and earthiness flavor that stays around too long To me this is a bit one dimensional. I had the 10, 12 and 14 year batches from 2026 and the 12 year os the winner in my book. Glad to try all three samples because i dont think any of them are worth secondary prices. -

Larceny Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch C922
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 14, 2026 (edited January 15, 2026)Nose: Sweet apple crisp and soft wheat charred oak with hint of butter Palate: it doesn’t have a soft mouth texture bit a lot of tart cherry flavors. Maybe a little too tart?? Finish: long finish, with some nuttiness but that tartness transcends into this spicy astingent flavor that is a little off putting Thos was one of those batches that everyone was talking about so went out of my way to snag it. But for me, it doesnt scream a wheated high proof bourbon with some flavors that jist dont connect with me. -
Yame 10 Year Eight Goddesses
Blended — Kyushu, Japan
Reviewed December 7, 2025 (edited December 9, 2025)Nose: The nose is a little faint becoause of the low proof, but oak is present with apple and stone fruits. Nice start. Palate: very light and juicy if thats a way to decribe it. The fruit from the nose continues on the palate. Its an interesting Japanese whiskey because you barely get any malted barley flavors. Finish: the finish is short and you get some grain notes and plum. Overall this is a unique pour that is very different from other Japanese whiskeys I’ve had. If it had a higher proof I think it would make it a better whiskey. -
i have had mezcal many times, but not at cask strength which this was about 52% abv. It is pechuga meaning that that steep a raw turkey over the alcohol vapors during distillation. i believe is was aged for 12 months so muted some of the stronger smokey flavors you can get from most mezcals. This was amazingly smooth and delicious and didn't feel like the proof point. Just a great sipping mezcal to enjoy with tajin and an orange slice.17.0 USD per Pour

Macallan Rare Cask Batch No. 1 (2017 Release)
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed November 22, 2025 (edited November 25, 2025) -
Nose: The nose is light and delicate with sweet corn aromas. Not a lot of complexity with some floral notes popping through. Palate: The proof tastes right on point with nothing too exciting following the nose. Somewhat youthful for being 7 years old. Some mellow corn and sweet butterscotch notes coming through. Finish: Short finish, little rye pop, tart and dry. Luckily I got this as an open bottle so the investment was minimal. A descent pour with nothing to impress you, but glad to try what a Missouri bourbon tastes like for the curiosity.

Green River Full Proof Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 13, 2025 (edited September 14, 2025)Nose: A lot of sweetness. Classic caramel, vanilla and an air of honey suckle. Palate: Thick and full mouth feel, the oak is strong and again lots of sweat flavors. Finish: The finish is amzingly long, cotton candy and charged oak. This is sunch an alazong single with tons of swear flavors. First time trying Green River and am interested to try some of their other offerings.
