Nose: youthful grain notes and a small burst of tannins. Palate: youthful sweet notes some red berries and dried fruit notes Finish: astingent coffee notes and the stave fonish comes into focus towards the end of the pour. Interesting whiskey, if i didnt know it wad sherry oak staves i would have really thought it was virgin french oak’s characteristics. Not necessarily bad but what you would expect feom a young whiskey.

Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye (2023 Release)
Rye — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed February 21, 2025 (edited February 25, 2025)Nose: sweet sweet banana bread with a little maple syrup icong on top. Palate: somewhat dry, but such a full bodied texture. Vanilla confection sugary goodness. Thos is almost 140 proof but after the forst sip ot doesnt not take like it. Finish: Peppered spicyness and the sweet from the palate goes away pretty quickly. Nice long transition for the finish that is medium/long. I did sode by sode with thos bottle against thw bottled-in-bond rye and they are miles apart. The bottled-in-bond is so light and delicate for its proof and the single barrel has so much more flavor and character. I did the same thing with Old Forester bottled-in-bond rye compared to single barrel proof rye and they were much closer in flavor profile and likeness. Hands down jack barrel proof rye is a way better value compared to Old forester barrel proof rye and much easier to find. -
Nose: light aromas on the nose and it has a delicate candied apple and pear scent. Pleasant and not overpowering woth ethanol at all. Palate: burnt oaky and sweet rye flavors Finish: Is relatively short with vanilla pudding and banana cream pie making an entrance. Over thos is a pretty soft and gentle rye considering the hogh rigjt content and the 50% abv. Noce choice for the proce when it comes to making cocktails.29.0 USD per Bottle

St. George Baller Single Malt Whisky
American Single Malt — California, USA
Reviewed December 29, 2024 (edited December 30, 2024)Nose: berries and fruit scents with a very light smokiness. Palate: sea ocean saltiness malt comes theought nicely. The smokiness is delicste and not overpowering. Finish: is where you get the american oak infounce with some nice vanilla notes and oak flavor comes in right at the end. This is better than I remeber from about 4 years ago the 47% abv is perfect for this whiskey which still is delicate and not super spicy at the proof. -
Old Elk Infinity Blend (2021 Release)
Bourbon — USA
Reviewed December 28, 2024 (edited December 30, 2024)Nose: Earthinees and some mineral notes you might get from a certain Tenesse distillery. Strong ethwnal and a light touch of vanilla. Palate: The high malt flavors come in right away, rich honey suckle soft texture, not your typical Kentucky bourbon. Finish: Buttered popcorn like the corn flavors you get from light whiskies. The rye soice is pretty mellow for the 115 proof. -
Knob Creek 12 Year Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 16, 2024 (edited November 20, 2024)Nose: slightly muted but the sweet oak comes through and marmalade. Palate: That 50% abv os the right spot with vanilla custard amd a smooth creamy texture that you don’t get woth the standard nine year bourbon Finish: is slow and smooth woth that soicy characteristic that comes with the brand. This is a well rounded and refined version of knob creek. It still has the powerfull flavors and spices without being too much in your face like the standard bottle and not super oaky like you get with older single barrel bottles. -

Four Roses Small Batch Select Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 21, 2024 (edited September 25, 2024)Nose: light and vibrant smells, cocoa fust and citrus zest. Palate: carmael comes out of nowhere as the first flavor that hots the tongue, inreally didnt get those notes on the nose. Again, thw chocalte theme is there but oretty subtle. Finish: a little astingency with good oak flavors and vanilla frosting. I like this bottle, different from other four roses offerings ive had in the past. It’s fresh vinrant flavors and is not deep rich flavors which is a nice change in pace from other bourbons. This is a good bottle to sip on when you arent trying to have a high octane full proof drink. -
Old Ezra 7 Year Barrel Strength Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 1, 2024 (edited September 2, 2024)Nose: chared oak, vanilla and a bit astringency are the primary notes. Palate: cherries, vanilla and medium mouth feel on the palate. Finish: the oakiness comes back into play and honestly, you really get the same flavor notes from start to finish but still a solid barrel strength bourbon.
