Boone County Small Batch Bourbon

Nose: Some vegital notes followed with faint vanilla Palate: Vanilla and a hint of corn Finish: very short, but a little hug at the back of the throat as it goes down Overall Boone is a younger, serviceable bourbon that hits the typical profile bit doesn’t offer much else. Easy to sip while watching the game and munching on snacks.

Slight bite, light on nose. Buttery smooth, short lasting

Nose: Spearmint, leather, oak, grain, youthfulness. Taste: Bread, peanuts, corn, sweet. Not much of a finish. Tastes young, maybe 3 years? Pretty easy drinker, might be good for a mixer. Not sure how much this costs but I'd maybe pay $20 for a 750.

NOSE: Alcohol on the nose…. I can’t really discern other flavor notes, due to the alcohol , spice, rye. TASTE: there is an initial “creaminess”, but quickly goes to “hot rye” that ascends to the roof of my mouth, making a statement that is larger than the 21% rye in the mash bill. Also hints of wood/oak and old leather that also tends to accentuate the dryness. There’s also a dryness accompanying rye rye. FINISH: Warm, dry & lingering. Overall…. Not bad. I enjoyed it, overall. It would NOT make my top 10 in every day drinkables, but an OK Bourbon.
