Evokes: after we got engaged, we took the long route back home and went on a foggy road trip through NorCal including several planned and unexpected detours. Tasting this whisky was a bit like that road trip. Surprising tasting journey. Cereal smoke on the nose, a morning coffee, and a lush red wine. After adding water I was immediately transported to a hotel cereal breakfast bar.

This whisky changes on the tongue in a very interesting way. Not always my favourite flavours, but I give it credit for being a very interesting dram. Update: adding a drop of water transformed the tastes as well. Would recommend trying it, if for nothing else then seeing how it changes.

Solid scotch - not terribly complex, but thoroughly enjoyable. Glad I got a bottle.
