Boxer Gin is produced from a base of English wheat distilled in both copper pot and column stills. The botanicals, which include juniper, a mix of citrus, licorice root, cinnamon, and nutmeg, are macerated for 8 hours in the neutral spirit. It is then redistilled in a copper pot still. Next they steam distill wild juniper and cold press bergamot peel to extract their essential oils. This is then added to the gin post-distillation. There is both a 40% ABV strength and a 45% ABV strength for export markets.
Distilled GinThis style of gin takes a neutral spirit and then adds juniper berries and other natural flavorings before it is re-distilled. After distillation, additional flavors (artificial or natural) and sweeteners may be added.
