This whiskey begins with Kentucky straight bourbon (70% corn, 21% rye, 9% malted barley) distilled by Owensboro Distilling Co. and is aged at least 2 years.
Then bourbon is dumped and batched into a tank and further aged with selected oak staves. In this case, 40% of the staves were former bourbon barrels, 40% new French oak staves, and 20% sherry cask staves.

Tasting Notes
"Candied orange peels lead on the nose, with vanilla Tootsie Rolls, cranberries, straw, and chrysanthemum bud. The palate is bold and honeyed, and features trail mix with salted nuts, dried fruits, and chocolate chips. The finish is spicy, with cloves and black pepper, and a bit musty, with tannic oak and wood shavings, closing out with notes of menthol and lemon peel."
