The whisky is aged a total of 18 years, with the final maturation finished in dessert wine casks. This is the second edition bottling and this one is finished in French dessert white wine from the Clos Uroulat estate in the Jurançon region in the south west of France. This dessert wine undergoes a "noble rot" prior to harvesting just like Sauternes.
