Bruichladdich DNA_1: The 36
Single Malt
Bruichladdich // Islay, Scotland
This bottling is the first in the DNA Series. The 36 refers to the age of the whisky; rare barrels from the late '60's and early '70's comprise the single malt which was aged 80% in American oak ex-bourbon and 20% in ex-sherry butts.
The whisky was married and finished its aging in former Château Le Pin red Bordeaux wine barrels, a well-regarded wine from Pomerol. It was bottled at 41% ABV.
